Where Asset & container tracking fits

05 Service is the operating context.

This page should not feel like an isolated feature sheet. It belongs to a role, a stage, a control, and an outcome in the Haultro operating spine.

The challenge

  • !Crews drive to a site only to find the can is empty, buried, or already gone, burning a turn for nothing.
  • !Lost and stolen containers walk off the books because nobody knows the last confirmed location or who has it.
  • !Roll-offs sit idle on customer sites for weeks, killing utilization and tying up steel you could be renting elsewhere.
  • !Manual inventory counts and spreadsheets never match the yard, so you over-buy cans you cannot account for.
  • !You react to overflow complaints instead of seeing the fill coming days out.

What it does

  • Maintain a live registry of every roll-off, dumpster, cart, and bin with its current status, site, and assigned customer.
  • Tag and identify assets in the field with RFID and QR scanning straight from the Haultro Driver app.
  • Read fill level and weight from connected sensors and weight cells to see real load state, not guesses.
  • Forecast fill 48-72 hours out so dispatch schedules the swap before the container is buried.
  • Score container utilization and dwell time to recover idle steel and right-size the fleet.
  • Trigger geofence alerts when assets move, leave a site, or go dark for too long.

Recover idle steel

Turn utilization data into reclaimed revenue

Every can sitting idle on a site is rented capacity you cannot deploy. Haultro scores dwell time and utilization so you can see which containers are working and which are parked.

Spot dead inventory

Rank containers by idle days and dwell time to find the cans to pull, redeploy, or bill for overage.

Right-size the fleet

Use utilization trends to decide what to buy, retire, or move between yards instead of guessing.

Catch the runaways

Geofence and last-known-location data surface assets that left a site or went dark before they become a write-off.

Connected across the platform

One source of truth.

Routing & dispatch

Fill forecasts and live asset locations feed dispatch so swaps and pickups land on the route at the right moment, not too early or too late.

Disposal & weight

Weight-cell and scale readings on assets reconcile against landfill and transfer-station tickets for accurate tonnage and billing.

Scheduling & jobs

Asset status drives auto-created swap and pickup jobs when a container is forecast to fill or has sat idle past its term.

Billing & invoicing

Dwell time and overage data flow into rental and tonnage billing so idle days and heavy loads are captured automatically.

How it works

Adopting asset & container tracking.

01

Tag and register every asset

Apply RFID tags or QR codes and import your fleet into the registry with size, type, and ownership in bulk.

02

Scan and sense in the field

Drivers scan on delivery, service, and pickup while connected sensors and weight cells report fill and load state automatically.

03

Forecast and alert

Haultro projects fill 48-72 hours out, scores utilization, and fires geofence and idle alerts when an asset needs attention.

04

Act on the route

Forecasts and locations push into dispatch so swaps, pickups, and redeploys are scheduled before problems hit the customer.

Standards & compliance

Built in, not bolted on.

State waste manifest tracking by container and loadEPA emissions and idling support through fewer wasted trips to empty cans

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do you track containers that have no GPS or sensor?

Drivers scan RFID tags or QR codes from the Haultro Driver app at delivery, service, and pickup. Each scan stamps location, time, and photo, so even passive cans have an accurate last-known position and chain of custody.

How accurate is the fill forecast?

The 48-72 hour fill horizon is a representative range built from historical service patterns and live sensor or weight data where available. The more sensor coverage a container has, the tighter the forecast.

What sensors and hardware do you support?

Haultro reads fill, tilt, and weight-cell data from connected smart sensors and scales, and pulls location from telematics such as Samsara. You can also run fully on RFID and QR scanning with no onboard hardware.

Can this help me cut down lost and stolen containers?

Yes. Every asset carries a last-known location and service history, and geofence exit and idle alerts flag movement you did not schedule, so cans get flagged as overdue or stolen long before an annual count.

Does it scale from a small fleet to a large one?

Haultro is built for operators running 25 to 50,000-plus bins. The registry, scanning, and analytics work the same whether you manage one yard or a regional network of sites.
