The AI engine

16 registered AI agents, each with a brake.

The Trunnion Intelligence Engine embeds Assist, Copilot, and Agent workflows across intake, quote, dispatch, route, service, verify, bill, retain, and portfolio intelligence, with role ownership and guardrails attached to every action.

What the AI does

Intelligence in every workflow.

AI route optimization

Re-sequences routes against locations, fill levels, traffic, truck capacity, time windows, and landfill cutoffs, with confidence-scored recommendations.

24/48/72h fill forecasting

Forecasts capacity with linear, accelerating, and decelerating patterns, day-of-week analysis, and confidence scoring.

Four-type anomaly detection

Detects Fill Spike, Post-Service Fill, Sensor Drift, and Silent Device events before they cascade into missed service.

Vision AI bin analysis

Analyzes photos for fill percentage validation, waste type, contamination, and physical condition.

Dynamic pickup pricing

Factors fill level, waste type, bin size, urgency, fleet load, time of day, and geographic zone.

Predictive maintenance

Generates component-level predictions, predicted failure windows, urgency scores, and route-aware maintenance scheduling.

Executive intelligence

Streams client, route, margin, retention, and portfolio reports with 30/60/90-day action plans.

Tool-calling AI chat

Can query bins, generate routes, find nearest drivers, and resolve anomalies inside role-based permissions.

Driver cab context for Haultro in-field speech intelligence workflows

Speech intelligence

Provider-ready speech workflows with an explicit activation gate.

Twilio and ElevenLabs contracts, consent controls, structured records, latency evidence, and Haultro tool-call boundaries are built. Live calling and transcription require configured provider accounts and sandbox acceptance.

01Configured Twilio account receives call or cab audio
02Configured Scribe Realtime transcribes live speech
03A customer-approved, contracted LLM provider interprets intent and runs permitted Haultro tool calls
04Configured ElevenLabs Voice responds in the operator brand voice
05Scribe batch enriches recordings with diarization, entities, and PII redaction
Live captureAI receptionistSub-150ms realtime STT target

Answers inbound calls, captures consent, qualifies the job, runs dynamic pricing, books the work, sends SMS follow-up, and escalates to a human when the call leaves the script.

How it works

Agents that analyze, advise, and report.

01

Tier 1

Predictive intelligence

Fill forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive fleet maintenance turn operational history into alerts before the problem is visible.

02

Tier 2

Operational AI

Route optimization, dynamic pricing, Vision AI, and field recommendations sit inside dispatch, driver, and customer workflows.

03

Tier 3

Executive intelligence

Streaming strategy reports, client re-engagement, churn risk, expansion plays, and portfolio benchmarking brief leadership.

Autonomy model

Automation grows only where trust is earned.

The catalog is intentionally weighted toward Assist and Copilot first. Agent actions are reserved for bounded work, logged, and overridable by the owning role.

Registered

Assist

Surfaces information or a suggestion while a human takes the action.

Human-gated

Copilot

Drafts an action for human approval with context and records attached.

Bounded

Agent

Acts only inside an explicit guardrail, logs the action, and stays overridable.

Lifecycle map

Where the AI attaches to the operation.

Each integration is anchored to a lifecycle stage and role, so intelligence appears where the team actually works: dispatch board, driver app, customer portal, billing queue, SLA review, or executive cockpit.

FAQ

The AI, answered.

What is the Haultro AI engine?

A multi-tier AI built into the platform, with department-level agents that analyze, advise, and report across dispatch, fleet, and billing, then roll insights up to an executive view. It optimizes routes, predicts fill and maintenance, scores profitability, and answers questions in plain language.

Is it a separate product or built in?

Built in. The intelligence lives inside the workflows your team already uses, not in a separate analytics tool, so predictions and prescribed actions show up where the work happens.

Does my data stay private?

Per-tenant access controls and encrypted transport are implemented, with AES-256-GCM application encryption for selected secrets and sensitive fields. Current hosting and storage encryption evidence must be confirmed for the deployed environment; see the security page for details.

Do I have to trust the AI blindly?

No. Haultro splits AI into Assist, Copilot, and Agent levels. Every scoped integration has a trigger, owning role, autonomy tier, guardrail, and human override path.
